Wi-Fi Hotspot Software Connectify Pro Is Free for Students This Semester [Video]

Windows: Connectify, the free app that turns your Windows computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot for other wireless devices, has a $30 Pro version with more customization and sharing options. This semester, college students can use Pro for free.

Many dorm rooms only have one Ethernet port. Rather than needing a Wi-Fi access point to get your other devices online, you can just download Connectify.

In this promotion, the free Pro license will be valid until January 1, 2012. You'll need to register before October 15 with your .edu email address to get the code.
