Time: Kroenke among richest U.S. sports team owners

The NBA's owner-imposed lockout has just begun, but the holdup won't put much of a dent in billionaire Stan Kroenke's wealth, according to Time Magazine.

The owner of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Rapids is the 10th richest owner of U.S. sports teams, Time says.

Kroenke is chairman and co-founder of THF Realty, a Wal-Mart developer and one of the largest privately held companies in St. Louis with $224 million in revenue in 2010.

Time says he has a net worth of $2.6 billion.

The sports mogul also owns the seventh most valuable sports teams in the world ??? his Arsenal soccer team in London is valued at $1.19 billion.

He also owns football's St. Louis Rams, which are ranked No. 40 on Forbes??? list of the World???s 50 Most Valuable Sports Teams with a value of $779 million.
