NBA standings 2012: Bulls hold 1-game lead in Central Division

The Bulls hold a one-game lead over the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks in the Central Division.

The Chicago Bulls grabbed a one-game lead in the East's Central Division on Friday night after a 108-104 win over the Detroit Pistons and an Indiana Pacers' 92-89 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Milwaukee Bucks also sit one game back thanks to a 108-93 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Chicago, buoyed by Joakim Noah's 30 points and 23 rebounds, moved to 10-8 on the season with its 16th straight win over Detroit. The Bulls have now won two games in a row heading into a tough stretch of games against teams with records over .500.

The Pistons dropped to 6-15 on the season, but remain ahead of the last place Cleveland Cavaliers, who fell to 4-16 with a 91-73 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Indiana's close loss to Denver moved it to 10-10, one game behind Chicago overall but two games back in the loss column.

Milwaukee got back to .500 with its win over Charlotte, moving the Bucks to 9-9 on the season.

Chicago currently sits at fourth in the East, four games behind the New York Knicks, who the Bulls play on Saturday night. However, the Bulls only have the sixth-best record in the conference.
