Obama: Immigration leak didn't hurt Senate talks

WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama says the leak of a draft immigration reform bill didn't jeopardize negotiations with the Senate.

Obama says leaks happen all the time in Washington and it shouldn't keep immigration reform from moving forward. He says negotiations are continuing at full speed.

A bipartisan group in the Senate is working on its own bill, and the White House has said Obama's bill is just a backup in case congressional talks fail.

Details of Obama's bill were published over the weekend. One of the Republicans in the Senate group, Florida's Marco Rubio, says Obama's plan injects partisanship into a tough process.

Obama's comments came in an interview with the San Antonio affiliate of Spanish-language network Univision. It was one of eight local TV interviews Obama gave Wednesday.
