Sacramento: Arrests in anti-Wall Street protests (AP)

SACRAMENTO, Calif ? Sacramento police are arresting anti-Wall Street protesters.

The Sacramento Bee reports ( http://bit.ly/qLaIRc) that police began arresting a group of about 19 protesters about 12:40 a.m. Friday.

After a series of warnings, police arrested the protesters one by one and brought them to nearby paddy wagons.

Police dispatchers told The Associated Press early Friday that they couldn't comment and spokespeople weren't immediately available.

The protest in support of Wall Street demonstrations in New York began in Sacramento Thursday with a rally that drew more than 500 people.

In Los Angeles, 11 protesters were arrested Thursday after they entered a bank during a rally.

Early Thursday morning in San Francisco, police dismantled a protest encampment that had been occupied for nearly a week by activists protesting economic inequality.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that one protester was arrested for allegedly assaulting an officer.
